Vandals damage Perdue course

Two youths who caused about $4,000 in damage to the new Perdue Oasis golf resort during the weekend may have been prevented from doing further damage by a night security guard who chased them and also got the licence number of their vehicle.

At about 4 a.m. Monday, the two stole a gas power cart and drove it into the Oasis pond, then drove a truck across a fairway leaving ruts.

The RCMP were notified, general manager Kevin Lewis says.
